Honors of The Shorter Chorale include:

  • the New York premiere of a major choral work at Carnegie Hall in 1994 and a second Carnegie Hall appearance in 2002;
  • chosen by taped audition to tour Russia in 1992 becoming the first American choir to perform at the original Kremlin in Novgorod;
  • the only American choir to perform at A Coeur Joie, a French choral festival;
  • the resident opera chorus at the Hellbrun Festival in Salzburg, Austria;
  • in May 2002, they performed the Duruflé Requiem with orchestra in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Greece;
  • Other international concert venues include performances in Spain, Yugoslavia, Germany, Poland, The Czech Republic, England and The Vatican, Rome, Italy.
