School of Fine & Performing Arts - Shorter University
Reams Clarinet Lesson

The School of Fine and Performing Arts

is one of the finest arts schools in the Southeast. Our programs have helped create successful and internationally recognized musicians, actors, and artists. Our art, music, and theatre departments enjoy a low student-to-faculty ratio, offering students a conservatory-style education rooted in the liberal arts. Performance opportunities abound, beginning as early as the freshman year.

Welcome to Shorter University’s School of Fine and Performing Arts! Students come to Shorter from all over the world to study music, theatre, dance, and art from a distinctly Christian perspective. Our world-class faculty are renowned performers and dedicated researchers in their respective fields, and our low student-to-faculty ratio allows us to focus on education at the individual level.

Whether your dream is teaching high school band or choir, performing on a Broadway stage, leading worship, opening your own dance studio, or working as an artist, we can help you achieve your goal. At Shorter, we care about our students and are committed to your education. We want to instill a love of learning in every student that you will carry out into the world with you as Shorter University alumni.

We invite you to campus to experience this passion for yourself! You can arrange a meeting with our admission counselors, shadow a current student for a day, or audition for one of our many scholarships or ensembles. Apply today by clicking on the links for the music or theatre application. We look forward to meeting you and helping you take your next step forward!
