Rome, Ga. – Shorter University senior Hannah Lambert, a two-term president of Shorter’s Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, has been selected to serve as a Leadership Consultant for the national sorority for the 2018-19 academic year.

Lambert, an accounting major from Stone Mountain, Ga., will spend the year traveling to Alpha Delta Pi chapters across the nation and counseling members in the areas of recruitment, officer training and operations.

She is one of 11 Leadership Consultants selected from the 2018 graduating class through a rigorous selection process, and this position is the highest role to achieve within the national sisterhood.

Alpha Delta Pi, whose national motto is “We Live for Each Other,” focuses on fellowship and scholarship for young women. The principles surrounding the sorority are scholarship, leadership, service to others, and sisterhood. Through their national philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald House, the young women of Alpha Delta Pi sorority work to create programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.

“This new position is one that I am most excited for as I will have the opportunity to leave my mark and become a productive member of the sisterhood,” said Lambert. “This sisterhood has given me confidence that I cannot wait to instill in others.”

During her time at Shorter University, Lambert has served on a multitude of leadership platforms that have contributed to her new role as a Leadership Consultant. Lambert served as an orientation leader for two summers, two terms as president of her sorority’s chapter, and treasurer of Alpha Chi, the national academic honor society for the top 10 percent of juniors and seniors in their class.
