Celebrate Shorter will be held at Shorter University on Wednesday, April 19. The event will take place at 11 a.m. in Brookes Chapel and at noon in the Eubanks Room.

“The purpose of Celebrate Shorter is to recognize and celebrate the excellent work that students do here at Shorter, as well as to honor God as we are called to live a life for him,” according to the university Honors Committee, the sponsor for the event.

Celebrate Shorter is open to the public and will include both a presentation session and a poster session. Student presentations will take place at 11 a.m. in Brookes Chapel, and poster sessions will be held at noon in the Eubanks Room.

Students were invited to submit an abstract/proposal that demonstrated academic excellence in their chosen field. All submissions were reviewed by the Celebrate Shorter committee, and then eleven submissions were selected for presentation.

The selected student presenters will be:

• Junior Accounting major Hannah Lambert
• Senior Piano Pedagogy and Piano double major Jordan Walker
