Undergraduate Admissions Requirements - Shorter University

Freshman

A student who has not attended a post-secondary institution. (Excluding students who have earned dual enrollment credit)

  • Official High School Transcript or GED Equivalency
  • Students High School GPA: 2.5
  • SAT: 990 (combined score from EBRW and Math)
  • ACT:19 composite

Transfer

A student who has attended a post-secondary institution. (Excluding students who have earned dual enrollment credit)

  • Official College Transcripts from each previous institution
  • College Transferrable GPA: 2.0 (with at least 24 transferrable credit hours)

Transfer students who have under 24 transferrable credit hours will be asked to provide their official High School Transcript, or GED Equivalency. Students who have graduated from high school within the last five years may also be asked for to provide an SAT/ACT score. SAT: 990, ACT: 19 composites

Readmit

A student who has previously attended Shorter University.

  • If applicable, an official college transcript from each institution post enrollment at Shorter University.
  • College Transferrable GPA: 2.0

 Student must have approval from the Business Office, Financial Aid Office, Student Life Office, Registrar’s Office, and the Office of Admissions before he or she will be granted readmission.
