Once you have been admitted to Shorter University, you are one step closer to becoming a part of the Shorter family.

Admissions Checklist

You will also want to follow the Admissions Checklist (below) to make sure you are following all of the steps to enroll. Your admissions counselor is available to help you throughout the admissions process, so don’t hesitate to call or email us with any questions.

Once Accepted:

Make sure you have the following items completed:

‡ The Enrollment Deposit and Registration Fees are refundable if the Office of Admissions is notified in writing of the decision not to attend Shorter University, in accordance with the specified dates (Fall- May 1, Spring- December 1, Summer- May 1); otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable after these dates.

Getting Enrolled

After being admitted, you will receive a series of letters letting you know what you need to do to start your college career at Shorter. Paying the enrollment deposit is one of the first steps you will take toward enrolling at Shorter. The enrollment deposit helps to save your spot at Shorter. If you are planning to live on campus, you will also want to send in your housing deposit and residence life questionnaire as early as possible.

Schedule a Visit

If you haven’t already visited the campus, you are encouraged to schedule a campus visit as soon as possible. We encourage you and your family to be our guests. Bring a friend along, if you like. Meet our students, visit classes, talk to professors, and see the campus.
