Shorter University’s Sport Management Program Ranked Among 50 Most Affordable Small Southern Colleges for a Sports Management Degree
Shorter University has been ranked among the 50 most affordable small Southern colleges for a Sports Management degree by Sports Management Degree Guide. The ranking was published on the organization’s website at www.sports-management-degrees.com/affordable-small-southern-colleges-for-a-sports-management-degree-2016-bachelors/.
Shorter is ranked 29th on the list.
This ranking was created using the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database. The listing includes institutions selected based on location (southern U.S.), size (undergraduate enrollment of 3,000 students or fewer), and degree (four-year bachelor’s degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Mnaagement). The 50 most affordable programs were selected and ranked based on net price.

Shorter University offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Sport Management that prepares students for careers working in the sports industry. Students have the option of earning an online BBA in Sport Management or taking traditional classes on campus. Successful completion of the degree requires a 12-hour internship; online students have the option to participate. Past internships for undergraduates include positions with the Atlanta Falcons, Rome Braves, LSU Athletic Department, Atlanta Blaze, Jackie Robinson Ballpark, and GearSafe Technologies.
