At Shorter University, we are committed to our mission of Transforming Lives through Christ. We asked students to share their Shorter Story to help show what that looks like on a personal level.
Devin Wallace, Class of 2019

“Transferring to Shorter allowed me to get that push I needed in the right direction, to transform my life. I found out not who I am, but Whose I am. That has given me the peace and confidence to face today’s chaotic world.
“I initially wanted to work my way into a chief marketing officer role for a major company or become a sports marketer for a professional or collegiate team. However, I feel God might have a different plan for me. It could have something to do with teaching youth in churches. Stay tuned.”

Jacee Guinn, Class of 2019
“I knew I could thrive in a small school environment. I also desired to be somewhere I could surround myself with people who love the Lord so I could grow spiritually. As soon as I stepped foot on Shorter’s campus, I knew it would meet those criteria. Without hesitation, I decided Shorter was the place I needed to be.
“I am so thankful for the Student Scholarship Fund. Had it not been for the incredible scholarship I received, I would not be at Shorter today. My scholarship truly is a testament to the abounding providence of God and how He loves us greatly.”

Jack Dodge, Class of 2018

“Being a student at Shorter means a lot to me. During my time here, I’ve learned I should give God the glory in all I do. It’s all about Him; it’s not about me.
“My gratitude for the Shorter Student Scholarship Fund is massive. Without the gracious gifts and support supplied by donors, I would not be able to attend Shorter University.”
