Donors Jerry and Beverly Emerson wanted to make a gift to Shorter to honor his late wife. For the Emersons, an Endowed Scholarship was the perfect tool. The couple established the Shirley Williams Endowed Scholarship, which now helps Elementary Education majors attend Shorter.
