Legarè Price Named Dean of Online Programs at Shorter University
Legarè Price has been named Dean of Online Programs at Shorter University.
Price has worked as a member of the enrollment staff for Shorter’s online programs since 2012, He began his tenure as online enrollment counselor and was promoted to assistant director of enrollment for online programs in 2013.
As dean, Price will oversee the operation of and recruitment for Shorter’s online programs. The university’s online programs offer undergraduate degrees in Business, Christian Studies, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Sport Management as well as graduate degrees in Accountancy, Business, Healthcare Management, Human Services Nonprofit Management, Management, and Sport Management.

Martin, Jr., Executive Vice President and Provost at Shorter. “He brings to this role a unique skillset combining technological prowess, professionalism, and the ability to relate well with people. Through his vision and leadership, we look forward to seeing continuing growth in our online programs and the expansion of academic degrees offered in the online format.”
A graduate of Coosa High School, Price earned a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology and Culture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His focus was in biomedicine studies and communications. He earned both the Master of Business Administration and Master of Management degrees from Shorter University.
Price lives in Rome with his wife, Krista, and their two-year-old son, Landyn. He has served as an associate pastor in the Rome community for the past five years through teaching, college ministry and church administration.
