MILITARY TUITION DISCOUNT

Military personnel, veterans, and military spouses are given a 20% discount off their current tuition. This applies to Associate, Bachelor, and Master level programs and meets the tuition assistance cap for active duty service members. Note that servicemembers cannot receive the discount while simultaneously receiving other military benefits.

TUITION ASSISTANCE & BENEFITS

An Online Financial Aid Advisor is available to process military and veteran benefits as well as answering any questions regarding possible benefits students are eligible to receive. These benefits include tuition assistance, Post 9-11 GI Bill, and other forms of active duty and veterans’ financial assistance. Students should apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

ADMISSIONS

  1. Complete the online application at online.shorter.edu.
  2. Students with fewer than 24 transferable credit hours need: high school transcript*, ACT score of 19 or higher/SAT score of 450 (per section) or higher, and high school GPA of 2.25 or higher. Students with more than 24 transferable credit hours need a GPA of 2.0 or higher from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution in the course being transferred. *Students out of high school over 5 years do not need ACT/SAT.
  3. An Online Enrollment Counselor will contact you regarding additional documentation and further steps to complete the admissions process.
