Through cooperative agreements, Shorter students have borrowing privileges at Kennesaw State University’s Sturgis Library and at the Gwinnett Technical College Library. You must present a validated ID and be on the current student roster to check out books. You may borrow up to five books at one time, use reference resources, and make photocopies. Please remember that this is a privilege, not a right, and that these libraries are being generous enough to treat Shorter students as their own patrons.

Shorter is a member of the Georgia Private Academic Libraries Consortium (GPALS), which includes the institutions listed below. Upon presentation of the GPALS Borrower Identification card, available from any campus librarian, Shorter students may also borrow books at these institutions.

PUBLIC LIBRARIES

The Georgia Public Library Service issues interlibrary lending cards through its Georgia Library PINES (Public Information Network for Electronic Services) network. This card can be useful if you plan to borrow books from Georgia libraries outside of the metropolitan Atlanta area. For more information, see the Georgia Public Library Services PINES page.
