HOW TO APPLY

***IMPORTANT STUDENT AND PARENT LOAN INFORMATION***

STUDENT STAFFORD LOAN

• Complete an Entrance Loan Counseling Session online by clicking the “FORMS” link through your Online Financial Aid Account.
• Complete and return a Title IV authorization form. This will be covered during your orientation program.
• Apply and complete the online master promissory note by logging in to your Online Financial Aid Account through clicking the “FORMS” tab.

PARENT PLUS LOAN

If you plan to accept and apply for the Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS Loan), you must do BOTH of following:

• Complete the PLUS Loan Request Form
• Apply and complete the online master promissory note by having your son or daughter log in to their Online Financial Aid Account through clicking the “FORMS” tab.

Once these steps are complete, the loan will be transmitted electronically from the school. The funds will be sent electronically in two disbursements (one at the competition of each 12 credit hours) to Shorter College and will be posted to the student's account.

Shorter College reserves the right to change all policies concerning the awarding of financial aid without notice due to financial and regulatory changes. No aid is automatically renewable - All aid must be applied for annually after January 1.
