A MILITARY FRIENDLY EDUCATION WITH BENEFITS

Shorter University offers a convenient, military-friendly online education for military personnel who have spent or actively spend their lives serving and protecting our country. Shorter University online military benefits are available to each military branch, reservists, veterans, military spouses and Department of Defense employees.

Shorter University’s online programs allow students to efficiently pursue higher education by offering accelerated eight-week courses that make the most of the student’s time. Online programs at Shorter University give servicemembers the option to complete coursework from wherever is most convenient—whether at home, work, etc.

DEDICATED MILITARY SUPPORT STAFF

Shorter University is dedicated to helping military students achieve their degrees as quickly and easily as possible. This includes providing a dedicated enrollment counselor, as well as a dedicated academic advisor and financial aid advisor for servicemember, servicemember’s spouse, or Department of Defense employees.

MILITARY TRAINING FOR COLLEGE CREDIT

Shorter University’s online programs offer an assessment of military training and experience to award college credit. Shorter University will evaluate students’ prior military work, training and experience based on the recommendations of the American Council of Education (ACE) guidebook.

MILITARY STUDENT TUITION – ONLINE COURSES

  • Tuition rates for online classes for all Military Students pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s level programs are discounted by 20%. Note that servicemembers cannot receive the discount while simultaneously receiving other military benefits and cannot be applied retroactively.
  • The following would qualify as Military Students: Current service members who have completed basic training, veterans who have received an honorable/general discharge, Department of Defense employees, and spouses of Military students. Pursuant to Article I. Section IV. Paragraph I of the Constitution of the State of Georgia only the union of man and women shall be recognized as marriage.
