Awards Day Celebrates Student Achievement

Rome, Ga. — Shorter University’s Awards Day included the presentation of awards of distinction to seniors who excelled in their major areas.

Dr. Heath Hooper, dean of Shorter’s Robert H. Ledbetter College of Business, presented awards to the following seniors:

  • Hannah Lambert, of Stone Mountain, Ga., Accounting Award
  • Fiorella Gamarra, of Snellville, Ga., Economics Award
  • Oswaldo Franco, of Rome, Ga., General Business Award
  • Anderson Joiner, of Jonesboro, Ga., Management Award
  • Alexa Moore, of Canton, Ga., Marketing Award
  • Kelsi Jones, of Oakwood, Ga., Sport Management Award

Dr. Norma Harper, dean of Shorter’s School of Education, presented awards to the following seniors:

  • Ashley Keller, of Newnan, Ga., Early Childhood Education Award

  • Hannah Draper, of Trinity, Ala., Special Education Award

Dr. John Reams, dean of the School of Fine and Performing Arts, presented awards to the following seniors:

  • Gabby Williams, of Dallas, Ga., Art Award
  • Erin Dallmann, of Douglasville, Ga., Music Education Award
  • Avery Harris, of Rome, Ga., Music Performance Award
  • Abbey Poole, of Griffin, Ga., Musical Theatre Award

Roxanne Johnston, dean of Shorter’s Ben and Ollie Brady School of Nursing, presented the Nursing Award to Emily Venable, of Summerville, Ga.

Dr. Kathi Vosevich, associate provost and dean of Shorter’s College of Arts and Science, presented awards to the following students:
