New Student Wellness Center Opens

A highlight of the beginning of the fall semester was the opening of Shorter’s new Student Wellness Center. The 3,300-square-foot workout facility offers a wide array of cardio and weight equipment for use by students, faculty, and staff.

“The Wellness Center has been a great addition to campus,” said Student Government Association President Caleb Britt, a communication arts major. “We love that it is right in the heart of campus, which makes it easy to get a workout in either before or after class.”

The majority of funding for the renovation project was provided by a generous grant for the Georgia Baptist Health Care Ministry Foundation.
