SUMMIT

SUMMIT is Shorter University’s new student orientation program that occurs during the summer. There are six SUMMIT sessions for incoming freshman, and one Transfer SUMMIT for transfer students.

SUMMIT is the first part of the orientation process designed to assist you in making a comfortable transition to university life at Shorter. SUMMIT is a one-day program for new students who will be enrolling in Fall 2009. Sessions are designed to offer information to assist you in your transition to Shorter University.

Programs provide academic requirements and expectations, campus resources, involvement opportunities and the chance to meet current students. During your SUMMIT session, you will also meet with your academic adviser and register for fall classes.

SOS assists the Office of Student Life in conducting activities for orientation programs, including Summit sessions and Camp Hawk. Interview process required.
