We arrived in safely Ghana today around 5pm after almost 24 hours of traveling. Tomorrow morning we will wake up and leave Accra (Ghana's capital) at 5am and drive 15 hours to the village of Nalerigu. While we are all exhausted from traveling, we are all excited to get to Nalerigu and see all what God has in store for us on our journey. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers during our trip. More updates to come soon!

Hey Everyone,

We finally made it to our destination, Nalerigu.  We got here after an eventful van ride from Accra.  It took us over 13 hours to get here.  We left at 5:30 am in Accra.  We arrived in Nalerigu around 7:45pm.  Our driver was very aggressive on the roads.  It is a miracle that we did not hit anyone!
The roads are very rough and in need of repair.

Today is a day of rest and seeing our new home.  We will tour the hospital this afternoon and the town of Nalerigu.  This morning I played frisbee with some children.  Wayne Bailey brought out the soccer ball and played with the guys for about an hour.  It is beautiful here.  Everything is very green.  The flights went well.  Everything went fine except I left my calendar on the plane from Atlanta.  It had all my email addresses along with some important school papers and stuff.  I was hoping to send email updates to FBC, Rockmart, Garden lakes B.C. & FBC Rome.  I want to send updates to Floyd Co. Baptist Association too.  If you find any addresses let me know.  Thanks for your prayers and thoughts.

Hey Everyone,

This morning we visited a village of women that have been sent there because they are witches. They are sent there by people who have accused them of being a witch.  It usually means they have touched someone maybe a child and then the child dies.  We first were with the chief and then we went to the village.  We had to get permission from the chief and that was an experience. More about that later.

The students led in singing and a skit.  I shared a message from the gospel of John, chapter three.  It went very well.  The girls then painted nails etc...  It was very moving and powerful.  They loved that.  We also took a case of bar soap to give them.  I hope to send you a picture later tonight.  Have to run.  We are leaving for another village today in 5 minutes.
