PRESIDENT’S AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING AND SCHOLARSHIP

The selection committee is seeking nominations for the 2012-2013 President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and Scholarship Award. The recipient will be announced during the Faculty / Staff Appreciation Dinner in May 2013.

All nominations are due in the Provost Office, Box 2002, by Friday, March 22, 2013. No nominations will be considered that do not have the signature of the faculty/staff/student making the nomination.

Faculty winners from previous years will not be considered for these awards.

VULCAN MATERIALS TEACHING EXCELLENCE & CAMPUS LEADERSHIP AWARD

The selection committee is seeking nominations for the 2010-2011 Teaching Excellence and Campus Leadership Award. The recipient will be announced during the Spring Graduation Ceremony. You are requested to nominate a Shorter University Junior Faculty Member Assistant Professor to be considered for this award.

Please write a statement describing the contributions or achievements (in one or more of the following areas) that are characteristic of the faculty member you are nominating. Attach additional pages or use the back side, if necessary.

1) model classroom teaching
2) campus leadership
3) pioneering teaching methodology
4) creative course development and/or instructional support
5) individual time spent with students
6) advising
