INTRODUCTION TO tHE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE
Each candidate for graduation is responsible for evaluating his or her record with a faculty adviser or the Registrar at the beginning of the Fall Semester. The final date for filing application for December graduation is September 19. The final date for filing application for May graduation is December 1.
The Registrar evaluates transcripts from other colleges and issues transcripts from Shorter College when requested by a student, in writing, 24 hours before release. There is a charge of $1.00 for each transcript. (Immediate service costs $5.00; Fax service costs $6.00.)
Changes in registration or dropping and adding of courses may be made only on the proper forms available in the Registrar's Office. Any course not correctly dropped will be graded with an 'F' at the end of the semester.
Any name, address or degree change is made in the Registrar's Office. Also, the Registrar's Office is the starting point for withdrawal from school.
