One of New York’s busiest composers, arrangers, pianists and orchestrators. He has worked on over 100 New York productions. He is currently writing the songs (music and lyrics) and scoring Jim Davis Garfield Production! (Film premiere in April ’14) and most recently created the dance and incidental music for Little House on the Prairie (starring Melissa Gilbert) – now touring prior to Broadway. He arranged and scored American Dance for Kenny Ortega (International Tour).
Michael is the creator of over 40 music folios/CDs for publisher Hal Leonard Corp. His musical Twenty Fingers, Twenty Toes! was produced at NY’s WPA Theatre and The York. His Boogie Woogie opera Swing Shift was produced by MTC - directed by Martin Charnin. His newest musical Bobby Driscoll is in development, under the direction of Francesca Zambello. Mr. and Mrs. Broadway is under the direction of David Zippel and is in current development. The How and Why of Being Jewish opens at Broward Stage Door (Miami) in March ’13. As pianist, Mr.Dansicker has been featured as piano soloist for American Ballet Theatre, The Joffrey and Twyla TharpP Dance. He has also worked with City Center Encores; playing the keyboard parts at numerous orchestra readings. As consultant to Disney Entertainment, he was musical supervisor and orchestrator for the book shows on the “launch” of The Disney Cruise Line and created The Studio Seven for Disney’s MGM Studios. Mr. Dansicker is one of the country’s leading Vocal Specialists and Vocal Coaches and has conducted workshops in Audition Strategies at over 50 major Conservatories and Universities.
