Mr. Richard Bristow, Adjunct Faculty Member, is the award-winning set designer for Shorter.  Bristow has done extensive design work for colleges, universities and community theatre groups. Included in his credits are Indiana University Theatre, Brown County Playhouse, University of Colorado in Denver and the Georgia Ensemble Theatre. He hasalso worked with the Denver Center Theatre Company, La Jolla Playhouse, Alabama Shakespeare Festival and Georgia Shakespeare Festival.

In early 2005 Mr. Bristow received a Faculty Merit Award from the Kennedy American College Theatre Festival for his set design on the college's production of West Side Story. He won the same award in 2007 for his 2006 scene design of A Midsummer Night's Dream, also here at Shorter. Bristow holds two master's degrees in the arts, one from Indiana University and the other from Wake Forest University. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brenau University.
