Mrs. Knight is Professor of Piano and has completed thirty-eight years at Shorter. She has had several GMTA state winners at the college, high school, and elementary levels. One of her former students won the Van Cliburn Scholarship two consecutive years at Interlochen Music Camp and was a finalist in the National Music Teacher Competition (MTNA).

Mrs. Knight has done master-classes/workshops in California, New Mexico, and throughout the Southeast. She has been featured at several GMTA conventions. She is presently editing a book, "MAK'S ALMANAK," subtitled "Your Own Personal Pedagogy Course."
