Dr. Eric McCluskey toured throughout the United States in the late 1980’s and early 90’s with the New York City Opera’s National Company and San Francisco Opera’s Western Opera Theater. He has also performed with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Spoleto Festival, Sarasota Opera, Connecticut Grand Opera, Connecticut Opera, Opera Omaha, Kentucky Opera, Banff Festival, Merola Opera Program, Saint Louis Symphony, Nashville Symphony, Chautauqua Symphony, the Paris Opera Ballet, and Winter Opera St. Louis. His performances have also included the high seas singing aboard the HMS Sagafjord and HMS Vistafjord. Most recently he sang the role of Marcello in Puccini’s La Bohème with the Southern Illinois Music Festival/Winter Opera St. Louis.
Dr. McCluskey is a recipient of several awards including: the William Matheus Sullivan Award, the Richard Gaddes Award from Opera Theater of Saint Louis, and first place in the Young Artists Competition of the Women’s Association of the Saint Louis Symphony Society.
Dr. McCluskey received his Doctor of Music degree from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. His Master and Bachelor of Music degrees are from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. |
