Beth Taylor is an Assistant Professor at Shorter University where she serves as Director of Bands. She is the director of the Symphonic Winds, The Marching Hawks, coordinator of the Shorter Winterguard, Percussion Ensemble and the Hill-
Top Jazz Band. She is also responsible for teaching instrumental conducting, methods courses and supervising instrumental student teachers.

Prior to joining Shorter, Professor Taylor taught both middle and high school band in Georgia for twenty-four years. Bands under her direction received multiple superior ratings at the GMEA performance evaluations and regional music festivals.

Mrs. Taylor received her Master of Music Education from Northeast Louisiana University and her Bachelor of Music from Georgia Southern. She currently holds professional membership with College Band Directors National Association, National Band Association, Georgia Music Educators Association, Phi Beta Mu, and Women Band Directors International.
