May 28 - Shorter College theatre appreciation students presented a play on "Wrongful Justice" was both student-written and student-directed. "This project allowed them to understand a little more about each element of theatre," explained their instructor Richard Bristow as he introduced the production. May 21 - The Shorter Chorale, Shorter College’s premiere performing ensemble, will make institutional history while touring Italy in May. Under the direction of Shorter alumna Dr. Martha Shaw, the choral ensemble of 43 Shorter students and five faculty/staff members will perform in Rome, Florence, Verona and Venice. May 14 - Shorter College students and Dr. Robert Darville, dean of the School of Business Administration, pose for a photo opportunity in front of England's prehistoric monument of Stonehenge during their study abroad trip this month. Led by Dr. Darville and Dr. Brian Nedvin, assistant professor of music, participants will receive 12 hours of class credit in business, music and independent study courses. May 7 - Saturday, May 3, will stand out as a day to remember for the almost 400 Shorter College students-turned-graduates who participated in the college's spring 2008 commencement exercises in the Winthrop-King Centre.
