December 2, 2013 - Twenty-nine Shorter University students were recently inducted into Shorter’s chapter of the Alpha Chi national honor society. Students must be in the top 10 percent of all juniors and seniors to be inducted into Alpha Chi.
The following students were inducted into the honor society: Isabella Baldacci, Chris Beno, Alicia Black Mahan, Johnathan Chisolm, Courtney Clifton, Courtney Cook, Ashley Crowe, Lauren Daniell, Allie Durall, Anna Gaccione, Sarah Geil, Joel Hargett, Donald Matson Keiser III, Emily Kendall, Kaitlin Kennedy, Ashley Grace Lee, Ana Raquel Martin, Hannah Rae Mitchell, Abbey Monteith, Morgan Morris, Anna Norman, Ashley Poole, Taylor Proctor, Rachel Reid, Paige Rowland, Erin Paige Sheffield, Whitney Stringer, Hannah Swope, and Kaitlyn Talley.
“These students represent not only high academic achievement, but also high character,” said Dr. Kathi Vosevich, dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and Alpha Chi faculty adviser. “The motto of Alpha Chi is ‘making scholarship effective for good,’ and these students really epitomize that.”
Shorter’s Alpha Chi Chapter has been recognized as a Star Chapter by the national organization for three consecutive years.
