Shorter University welcomes Bryant Wright as guest speaker during weekly chapel service March 28, 2012 - Rev. Bryant Wright was welcomed to Shorter University on Tuesday as the guest speaker during chapel service. Rev. Wright, founder and chairman of R ight From The Heart Ministries and senior pastor of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in northwest metro Atlanta, is serving his second term as president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Speaking from the book of Romans, chapter 1, verses 18 through 20, Rev. Wright expressed the importance of the Christian duty to share the Gospel to those who have not heard. A native of Atlanta, Bryant and his wife, Anne reside in Marietta. He received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina in 1974, a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Seminary in 1980, and an honorary doctorate in 2007 from SEFOVAN, a seminary in Madrid, Spain.
