October 26, 2011 - On Tuesday, Shorter University welcomed the president of the Georgia Baptist Convention, Rev. Dan Spencer, as guest speaker for their weekly chapel service. Rev. Spencer serves as pastor at First Baptist Church of Thomasville. During his sermon, he challenged the Shorter campus to be servants for Christ, illustrating his message with scripture from the books of Matthew and Luke. Rev. Spencer holds graduate degrees from Troy University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
