Jason Wicker named Shorter University's new assistant director of residence life
||August 2, 2011 - Jason Wicker has been named Shorter University’s assistant director of residence life and will assist the director, Josh Arnold, in training resident staff, supervising off-campus apartments, and helping students through the student conduct process.
Wicker, originally from Americus, Ga., graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University with a degree in marketing. He then attended Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School in Nashville, Tenn., obtaining a Master of Divinity degree. While there, Wicker worked with Samford’s Office of Residence Life, continuing to work part-time after graduating and moving to a full-time position in the Divinity School’s Office of Admission and Alumni Relations.
Wicker is excited to be back in Georgia and at Shorter as a new member of the Residence Life staff. “The staff in the Student Affairs division has really made me feel welcome here, and others around campus have also been very hospitable. My time thus far at Shorter has been great,” he said.
