High school graduate awarded Shorter University’s Eubanks Scholarship

Taylor Keith Bailey

June 6, 2011 - Taylor Keith Bailey, of Hazel Green, Ala., was recently awarded the Shorter University Eubanks Scholarship. Bailey will begin classes at Shorter in August 2011.

The Eubanks Scholarship provides tuition, room and board for eight semesters, excluding summers. To qualify for this scholarship, a student must hold at least a 3.75 grade point average and a 1300 SAT or 29 ACT score. Scholarship recipients must then maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade point average at Shorter. Shorter’s fall semester begins August 18.

Bailey is the son of Gary and Patricia Bailey. He is a recent graduate of Hazel Green High School in Hazel Green, Ala., where he served as an ambassador and was the president of the National Honor Society.  Bailey is active in his youth group, where he volunteers with Lads to Leadership, Church Camp, and Relay for Life.
