Exhibit highlights work of Shorter University student Montagious Brown April 26, 2011 - Shorter University senior Montagious Brown will present an art exhibit now until April 29 in the university’s Arnold Art Gallery. His exhibit, titled “The Perfect Athlete,” is a collection of artwork that utilizes soft pastels to express the varied forms of athleticism. “I have such a deep respect and reverence for the athleticism of animals which inspired these pastels. They also allow me to express my own personal journey as an artist and an elite athlete,” Brown said. In 2008, Brown became Shorter University’s first ever national champion in men’s indoor high-jump. He continues to compete in track and basketball at the intercollegiate level. The Arnold Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. |
