Shorter University art exhibit featuring work of student Samuel Gerace April 18, 2011 - Shorter University senior Samuel Gerace will present an art exhibit April 18-22 in the university’s Arnold Art Gallery. The exhibit, “Sacred Conversations,” is a collection of artwork that utilizes oil paints and egg tempera-type to explore the theme of the Roman Catholic Saints. Gerace stated, “In my current work I seek to bring my experiences with the mysteries of the Saints into being. I seek to recreate an impression of the chapels from my childhood, with the many eyes of the blessed looking onto you.” A reception for Gerace’s exhibit will be held on Friday, April 18, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. in the gallery. The public is invited to attend, free of charge. The Arnold Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. |
