Shorter student Loni Jones' artwork to be displayed April 4 through 8

March 21, 2011 - Shorter University senior Loni Elizabeth Jones will present an art exhibit April 4-8 in the university’s Arnold Art Gallery. Her exhibit, titled “Through the Eyes,” is a collection of artwork that utilizes photography to express children.

 “My photography emphasizes shadow and light to show the real beauty of a child. I want to show a different side to portraits, something you do not see in everyday photography,” Jones said.

An opening reception for Jones’ exhibit will be held on Monday, April 4, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend, free of charge. The Arnold Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
