March 15, 2011 - Former World Championship Wrestler Lex Luger will share his Christian testimony during Shorter University’s March 22 chapel service. The service is open to the public and will be held at 11 a.m. inside Brookes Chapel. The chapel is located on the main campus of Shorter University inside the Cooper Fine Arts Building. Luger, born Larry Pfohl in Buffalo, N.Y., he played briefly for the University of Miami Hurricanes and later played for the Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Bandits. He made his professional wrestling debut in 1995 and was honored as pro wrestling’s Rookie of the Year in 1986. Luger’s wrestling success turned him into a household name, and for more than a decade, he maintained a successful career in the ring. Drugs were a part of Luger’s lifestyle and that lifestyle eventually led him down a path of self-destruction. Now a born-again Christian, Luger travels the country, sharing his testimony and speaking out against drugs.
