Shorter University student Jessica Turner hosting photography exhibit Nov. 8-12

November 8, 2010 - Shorter University senior Jessica Turner will present a photographic art exhibit Nov. 8 through Nov. 12 in the university’s Arnold Art Gallery.

Her exhibit, titled “Defined Mothers with Children” is a series of photographs that chronicle the everyday events in the life of a mother. “Being a mother has its ups and downs in life, but what my children have brought into life has inspirited me to do this series,” Turner said. “Using 96 images in this series lets the viewer become overwhelmed with children and the lifestyle of moms.”

The Arnold Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. A closing reception for Turner’s exhibit will be held on Friday, Nov. 12 from 6 until 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend, free of charge.
