Alpha Chi honors new inductees at Celebrate Shorter

April 19, 2010 - Alpha Chi once again honored the best of Shorter’s best academically at Celebrate Shorter on Wednesday, April 19. Five new students accepted the honor and were inducted into the prestigious society: Jonathan Altman, Joseph Harmon, Hua-ying Hsu, Brayden Huskey, and Hannah Strickland.

Officers for 2009-2010 were also recognized with enameled pins to commemorate their service: President - Sarah Boring; Vice President – Caleb Landrum; Director - Whitney Richert; Treasurer – Melonie Hardy; and Secretary – Whitney Wright.

The 2009-2010 members were also awarded an Honorable Mention for the President’s Award. This was a great accomplishment as the society has only been active on campus this term since its revitalization and was competing against organizations that had a six-month head start.

New officers for 2010-2011 have also been elected: President - Sarah Boring; Vice President – Melonie Hardy; Director - Whitney Richert; Treasurer – Meredith Mason; and Secretary – Brayden Huskey. Congratulations to these Shorter scholars!
