Shorter College Accredited by National Financial Accountability Organization
March 31 - WINCHESTER, Va. – The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) announced today the accreditation of Shorter College of Rome, GA.
ECFA accreditation is based on the ECFA Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship™ , including financial accountability, transparency, sound board governance and ethical fund-raising.
Shorter College joins a growing number of churches and evangelical organizations across America, representing more than $18 billion in annual revenue, that have earned the right to display the ECFA seal. When an organization is accredited by ECFA, it demonstrates its willingness to follow the model of biblical accountability.
“We are pleased to include in our membership a ministry committed to integrating Christian values within a nurturing community in its whole process of education”, said Dan Busby, president of ECFA.
Founded in 1873, Shorter College provides quality higher education, enabling and encouraging student commitment to active life-long learning, personal spiritual values, responsible citizenship, and community and societal leadership in a global context. The College seeks to accomplish their mission through undergraduate liberal arts programs, specialized professional programs, and select graduate programs. Geographically distant locations provide educational opportunities to individuals who are unable to attend classes in a traditional setting.
