Meyer named Shorter College’s Director of Library Services
February 4 - Deborah Meyer has been named Shorter College’s Director of Library Services and Associate Librarian. Meyer, who lives in Calhoun with her husband and 7-year-old daughter, comes to Shorter with 24 years of library experience.
“I look forward to meeting as many faculty, staff and students as possible to hear their thoughts on our current library services,” Meyer said. “Shorter has an incredible library staff, but a library's population has constantly changing needs which should be addressed.”
The majority of her career has been spent in academic libraries, with 17 years of service at Clayton State University as head of technical services. Most recently she served as head of circulation and instruction at Harper College in the Chicago area.
