Vicky Drnek joins Shorter College’s IT staff

Vicky Drnek has joined the staff of Shorter College’s Information Technology Department as help-desk support and IT trainer. She came to the college from the Tommy Nobis Center, where she was an instructor for computer programs.

In her post at Shorter, Drnek will train faculty and staff on the use of Microsoft products. She is a certified Microsoft Office Specialist 2003, with certifications in Word, Word Expert, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access. She is also certified in IC3, which covers Internet and computing skills.

A Rome native, Drnek is a graduate of Coosa High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in history from Jacksonville State University. She is a founding member of the Northwest Georgia Winds and a former member of the Rome Symphony. Drnek lives in Rome with her husband, Gary, and step-son, Greg.
