International Pianist Enrique Graf Performs at Shorter College

Enrique GrafPianist Enrique Graf will perform on Monday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Shorter College’s Brookes Chapel. The guest recital is open to the public at no charge.

Winner of the William Kapell International Piano Competition, Graf has performed with orchestras and symphonies throughout the world. From the works of Beethoven to Debussy, and from the works of Romantic composers such as Chopin to contemporary composers such as Lee Hoiby, Graf has an expressive range that is known for its versatility.

In addition to his skill as a performer, he has presented master classes at conservatories and universities across the United States and in South America, Europe and Southeast Asia. His students have earned distinguished awards under his instruction.

Born in Uruguay, he is now an American citizen and one of only three classical musicians who have received the Immigrant Achievement Award from the American Immigration Law Foundation in Washington, D.C.

This performance will be Graf’s first at Shorter.
