Shorter Expresses Sympathy for Virginia Tech Tragedy

The Shorter College family was stunned and saddened to learn of Monday’s terrible events at Virginia Tech. We mourn with the families and friends of the students and staff who were killed, and our thoughts and prayers are with them. We also continue to remember those who were injured, their families, and the entire Virginia Tech community.

A candlelight vigil was held at Shorter on Tuesday evening to pray for and support the Virginia Tech community, and a special remembrance was included in that day’s chapel service. The following organizations will publicly display sympathy cards to let the Virginia Tech community know of the outpouring of prayers and support, and we invite you to join with us in offering prayer and encouragement in this tangible way.
