Shorter College ranked a ‘best value’ by Princeton Review
Shorter College has once again been ranked as one of the nation’s best value undergraduate institutions, according to The Princeton Review’s 2008 edition of America’s Best Value Colleges. This marks the fourth consecutive year Shorter has been included in the Princeton Review’s best-of lists.
The guide profiles 165 colleges with excellent academics, generous financial aid packages and relatively low costs. “Selection is based on a wide range of criteria, including tuition and financial aid figures reported by the colleges, as well as the opinions of each college’s undergraduates regarding their academic experiences and how satisfied they are with their financial aid packages,” explained Adam Davis, editor, in a letter to Shorter Vice President of Enrollment Management Dr. John Head.
“Each college profiled in the book receives an extensive narrative profile covering general information about the school, any exciting and unique financial aid awards it offers or policies it pursues, its admissions process, what its graduates often go on to do, how much students and their families are expected to pay each year after financial aid is applied to their bill, and fun and interesting trivia about it,” the letter continued.
