Men's Soccer splits pair of weekend matches against NCAA schools

In NCAA action this weekened, the men's soccer team went 1-1, beating Division 3 Haverford College 2-0 on Saturday and losing a close match to Division 2 University of Montevallo 4-2 on Sunday.

Against Haverford, Shorter’s Wayne Bailey sent in a goal in the 50th minute and Robert Whitnell scored in the 74th. Both came off of assists by Angel Damian.

Whitnell scored both goals against Montevallo and was assisted by Bailey and last week's player of the week Ciaran Traquair.

The Hawks play again on Wednesday against non-conference opponent Tennessee Wesleyan in their last home game at Grizzard Park.
