Virtually Shorter
May 2010

Welcome to our family

Hundreds of hours of homework and late night study sessions paid off for more than 400 Shorter College students this past Saturday as they were handed the “key” to their future – a Shorter College degree. Four hundred and forty-seven students walked across the stage inside the Winthrop King Centre and received their diplomas from Shorter President Dr. Harold Newman. Shorter College alumna, Phyllis Tickle delivered the keynote speech during the May 8 ceremonies.

The class of 2010 was the last class to graduate from Shorter College. The college will make the transition to Shorter University on June 1, 2010.
