TWO MOOSE CAMP GAINEY RANCH

August 2009 - Shorter athletes return to campus today for physicals and will soon begin fall practice. Among their number are 28 athletes and eight coaches who recently traveled to the Two Moose Camp Gainey Ranch in Glen, Montana, where they were the guests of businessman Harvey Gainey.

Mr. Gainey, who spoke at Shorter’s Spring Commencement exercises in May, owns the ranch-based Christian ministry targeted toward athletes at the high school and college levels. The Shorter group is pictured in nearby Yellowstone National Park along with Shorter Trustee Chairman Dr. Nelson Price, his wife, Trudy, and Mr. Gainey. Also visiting the ranch during this week were Shorter College President Dr. Harold Newman and his wife, Brenda.
